Gnarled Red Line seeks submissions of previously unpublished fiction, non-fiction, and poetry from around the world. The work must be in English.

Document Requirements

• Word count: 

  • Poetry: Four pages max.

  • Prose: Suggested maximum of 5,000 words (but open to longer). No minimum.

• Reasonable font, size 10-12. (Comic Sans = lifetime ban.)

• 1.15-2.0 line spacing.

• .doc / .docx / .pdf.​

• In the subject line, please state the following: [submission type] - title of piece - your name​

• We judge blind so please avoid putting your name anywhere in your piece.

• Submit one piece for fiction, non-fiction. For poems, you may submit up to three pieces.​

• Simultaneous submission is okay. Let us know if your piece is accepted elsewhere.

• Copyright remains with the author.

• We will endeavour to give feedback (submission volume dependent).

Payment

• We pay £100 to each contributor.

• Contributors will receive a free copy of the issue in which they are published.
